I agree that the crop doesn't look like much at this point, but do you really think the Sam Davis is that bad? For a G3 race in February, don't Rule and Uptowncharlybrown make it somewhat interesting? Isn't it possible that one of those two ends up being decent?
Throw in the Albertrani colt (who didn't run poorly in his first try routing), and a couple of longshots coming off of 2-turn victories over the track, and I actually think it is kind of an interesting race. But I suppose that might just be the result of me
trying to get excited about a rather pedestrian group.
