Smarty was done after the TC was over. It was already a given that he would be 3Yo champ. Would there have beena bonus paid had he won HOY? You bet your ass. because they woulda bumped it up 25 g's.
Look at the Zapper. His fee went way up after he won the BC and got HOY.
