speightstown is an unknown obviously, this being his first crop to race. northern afleet and EQ were mentioned-elusive quality was a record setting miler. northern afleet also ran at longer distances than speightstown, who was a good horse at 6-7 f. so i can see where there might be more ??'s regarding what he'll get. now, haynesfield has shown he can rate, but certainly isn't afraid of leading either.
speightstown siring a derby winner would certainly fit the trend from the last few years, where new sires had a derby winner right off the bat.
