Against the Patriots a few years back, I knew there was no way we'd actually win the superbowl (and we should have won that damn game, had we made a few more plays and if our QB had played better and the receivers -other than TO- had caught some passes).
The Phillies find more ways to blow games I have no idea how they do it!
The Sixers may actually have some hope.. I really like their new GM, but really.. can you imagine the Sixers winning the championship (I can't).
I am 25 years old now, I wonder if by the time I'm 50 if we'll have a real title, maybe once I can see a parade! I would like to see it happen soon for my Dad too! The poor guy we've had season tickets to the Birds since I was 6 (700 level at the Vet too!!) but we can't see a champion team. I really hope McNabb stays healthy this year and some receivers step up... I feel for Westbrook he has to carry the whole team! It will also be interesting to see how our linebackers do. I say 11-5, win the East, win the NFC, lose to any team from the AFC.
I like Reid too, my Dad and bro have mixed feelings. I agree with my father on the fact that Reid does not make good offensive play calls. We shouldn't have a 75/25 pass to run ratio like in years past. We should run the ball much more often... its not like Westbrook sucks or anything. Buckhalter is a good backup also. Its time to play some real football.
I'm excited (since I live in Florida now) that I'll be home for the Birds vs. Skins game at the Link.
But win or lose, I'll always the Eagles. Cant help it.

Im with ya, I'll be a fan until they lower me into the ground. Excited isnt even teh word for me this year. Our linebacking corps will open eyes and turn heads this year. (my favorite part of the team) Stewart Bradley a Pro Bowler, me thinks so....I love Reid for the simple fact that they always seem to find the undrafted rookie free agent, that diamond in the rough. (Mikell comes to mind, love him.) Also how other teams view the guys that we release or the guys tha are 3rd stringers here that other teams pay big bucks to. (Matt Ware, Rod Hood, Clinton Hart) All interchangable parts. They predicate themselves on their backups, if ever need be, to step in and not skip a beat. Thats what I love most about his tenure. I get sick thinking about Freddie Mitchell though, and how we could have drafted Reggie Wayne or even Ocho Cinco. UGGGGHHH... What could have been? Mcnabb has at least 2 rings if they only supplied him with the right number 1 reciever his whole career, and for that I fault the big man.
I said it before, the worst thing that couldve ever happened to this franchise, was getting to the Super bowl without TO, the year he missed the whole playoffs and came back in the SB. It gave Big Red some false assurance that we can get there with the 2's and 3's, when in all reality, we can't. He thinks he can win the thing with the Thrash's, Pinkston's and Greg Lewis', which is why they really never invest the BIG BUCKS for a wideout. Have no fear, this is D5's year. Speed, speed and more speed. You'll hear it over and over again. Fastballs, as Andy puts it.
PS. I love Stefanski too, he has this team headed in the right direction. Alot of young talent.
PSS. Enjoy the Eagles game, dont fall into the sterotype of annebriated buffoon that we can't shake off for the life of us.
