If you are about to make a wager on the Lakers over the Mavs one day and then around noon, you find out Kobe isn't going to play, you wouldn't reconsider that wager? You don't think that an injury or key addition to a team should change your expectations of what a team is capable of doing?
Maybe your expectation wasn't for the Spurs to win the LA series. But I can't believe that you don't think a healthy Ginobili would have made a difference in how competitive it would be. A healthy Ginobili might have helped them hold off the Lakers in those fourth quarter collapses and given the Spurs another game or two.
