After a good couple of weeks, we looked pretty bad in Week 4. The combined rate of loss for all who picked this week was 30.5%, considerably worse than the track take. Our overall rate of loss is now 17.5%.
This week there were 54 cappers who posted picks, but one of them only picked one race. So the amount bet was $642. The winning tickets added to $446.40.
Here are the overall results through the first 9 races of the contest:
# of picks: 533
Amount bet: $3198
Amount won: $2638.50
% return: (2638.50-3198)/3198 = -17.5%
18 cappers are still showing an overall profit, and 1 capper is exactly even.
