The exact opposite is true.The citizens know very little about what took place,It is illegal to talk about it in Turkey.You can't just go read a book about it there.They have an information blackout about their genocide against the Armenians.They invite authorities from all involved to come to Ankara and "get the facts," but these conferences are always being cancelled by a judge 2 or 3 days before they actually are to begin.
