Every divisional honor should be determined by points and only HOY should be determined by votes. Your top 6 races should count for points so you don't have a horse winning an award for getting so many points from thirteen 3rd place finishes. The BC races could count as double a G1 to maintain their importance.

I sure do agree that a horse should earn HOY by racing and earning points and then combine that point total with the number of votes. However, when breeding operations pay million of dollars for a horse with just 1 Grade I win then everything else seems arbitrary.
