I think it was a very common opinion a month before this derby that the crop looked weak. What needs to be said is that it's pointless to make a judgement at that point in time given how things can unfold.

Nah, I'm telling you, it's a cyclical thing. Every April, everyone's convinced that it's a terrible crop of three-year-olds and then, a few months later, no one's on that train anymore.
