I don't go for the "they must speak English" stuff. Why must they speak English?
As long as they're legal and the children are in class where English is spoken, I couldn't give a damn if they communicate by whistling out their a ss. If they can make it great, if not, too bad. It's not as if the first thing every Italian, Greek, Russian, Jew or Armenian who came through Ellis did was run to the English language school.
As far as people speaking about me in a foreign language, I also could not care less about that. There's very few people in the world who have something to say regarding me that I consider worthwhile hearing.
