Smarty Jones was injured if you don't recall.. The same injury in fact that sidelined Jazil for 6 montrhs. There was no guarantee that Smarty would come back 100%, and it made sense for him to retire. I couldn't fault the Chapman's for that one.. If you use a 'they need the money' example, how about Sheikh Mo with Bernardini? No excuse possible..
