Just noticed the thread.. Always a great topic. I have a bunch of horse names written down somewhere, but a few I remeber that I'd like to use and their meaning:
ALACRITY: Timely, regularly
CORYBANTIC: Wild
SPONDULUX: Money
RAMPALLION: A scoundrel
DUENDAY: A demon or gomblin
KIAMYONKEL: Yiddish for a little pest
COLPORTEUR: French for a door to door salesman
and one Lansdon used on a 2 year old!! From "Shawshank"... ZAWATINAYO.. He told me about it last week and I couldn't believe it. I tried to get my pal Bill to use it two or three years ago...
