This is a seldom spoken, rarely overheard, exclamation isn't it? Can you imagine hearing someone shout out a "thank you, ****, great ride" to one of them, before leaving the rail and heading to cash that $100 win ticket, that trifecta, or that super?

Sure they were doing their job, they got their cut; still, JUST MAYBE they performed their task exceptionally well, their skill proved beneficial in that particular race.

Anyone can benefit from accolades. And they should be spoken more readily, regardless of what our vocation is.

Nah, won't happen in horseracing though. All you'll hear from the rail is, YOU SUCK, when they lose next out.

Too often, all we hear is how profoundly stupid they are. Seldom the positive. That's a shame.
