PALACE EPISODE, winner of the 2005 Racing Post Trophy, has been switched to Godolphin's US-based team, along with the same year's Royal Lodge Stakes winner Leo.
Both horses will be based with Godolphin assistant Rick Mettee in the States, according to theThoroughbred Times.
Trained by Kevin Ryan as a two-year-old, Palace Episode finished last of six in the Dante last term on his only start after joining Saeed Bin Suroor's string.
Leo did not race last year after finishing ninth behind Stevie Wonderboy for John Gosden in the 2005 Breeders' Cup Juvenile.
“They just arrived, so they won't race for a while; probably until mid-summer or something like that,” Mettee told theThoroughbred Times.
True Cause, a Goodwood two-year-old winner in 2005, is also reported to have joined Mettee's team at Payson Park Training Center in Florida, where Godolphin now have 14 horses.
“They'll probably be joined by a few who run Dubai World Cup night, so I imagine we'll have anywhere between 15 and 20 in New York at Belmont Park,” Mettee said.
Discreet Cat, currently in Dubai, is the standard bearer for Godolphin's US string, but the Florida-based squad also includes Grade 1 winner Ashkal Way and the unbeaten three-year-old Minefield.
However, the latter resumed training only recently after undergoing minor ankle surgery. “He's another one that probably won't race until the summer,” Mettee said.
