It was 1977 at Bay Meadows when Mag Drop and Happy Randy came down to the wire...I was near the wire in the grandstand when a guy that lost the head bob reached around and grabbed me by the lapels of my suit and lamented that he had $200 on the loser....thanks for the memories.... I think...
