Apparently, Multiplier's Illinois Derby was almost 4 lengths better than previously thought. Two days ago the BSF was raised from 88 to 94.
And what does weight and trip have to do with a BSF? Yet according to Randy Moss, as quoted in the DRF link below, based on how well the 5th place horse ran next time out, "the weight [Multiplier] carried in the race, the trip he got, maybe the figure was higher than originally thought, Moss said. It marks some pretty steady improvement for Multiplier and improvement for Hedge Fund, who is running in the Sir Barton. In hindsight, I think it makes a little more sense.
