The NBA now a days is a joke, but Red was the primary architect of the greatest dynasty in the history of modern sports.
We all know the Yankees, Canadiens, etc won more, but over what...100 years or more? Red won 8 in 9 or 9 in 10, something like that and was the GM for the winning Celtics teams in the 70's and 80's.
The man's accomplishments are unparalleled and will likely never been approached by anyone else. When you can say you were the primary hand on sixteen world championships, there are only so many people that can breath that rarified air.
