Sway Away may pull off the upset here.

104 for The Factor. Not nearly as authoritative as in the Malibu.

Ran well. A comeback that looked a lot like the one Toby's Corner turned in last week..

Question for those doing pace figures --

What were your differences between the Mailibu's and The San Carlos?

I noticed you said on FB it was not that impressive. I really dont get that. This horse runs hard every step of every race. It almost feels like he has been so good in the past that when he runs a 104 it feels disapointing?

They went pedestrian early and then he was all out to hold off a horse back from a long layoff. It was a ragged effort. Not nearly as sharp as his Malibu.

If it wasn't for The Factor, Sway Away would now have two grade two wins at 7f off of long layoffs.

Sway Away was scratched from an ALW race several weeks back where Capital Account (Who came second to Frumious in his previous race) won going away. Not sure why they scratched but he probably needed a race. He is by Afleet Alex and a big horse he is. They may try going longer next out.

He also would have been fifth in the Rebel.

Heck no. They tried stretching Sway Away out several times already. He doesn't have the same kick going a route distance.

I suppose. I wouldnt be surprised if they do try again going long though

Sway Away will not go around two turns this year.

helicopter11 02-26-2012 04:11 PM

So let it be written, so it shall be done

RockHardTen1985 02-27-2012 01:06 PM

Sway Away is a closing sprinter, that was made obvious very early on in the horses career.
