Note to those betting SA Saturday - there will be a key scratch in one of the races.
Cayambe ineligible, will scratch: Stakes winner Cayambe would have been a standout Saturday in race 6, the $40,000 March Madness Handicap. The mile turf race is a starter allowance restricted to horses that started for a claiming price of $32,000 or less since March 1, 2010. http://www.drf.com/news/santa-anita-...tokyo-city-cup |

So, Rosario and Bejarano (and the crew) are suppose to be back to ride Sunday's card, yet none of them could scrounge up a mount in the stake?
On an aside, Mig is at SA doing work for HRTV there this weekend. |
Jax El. She won yesterday (Wednesday) at Santa Anita. Was coming off a 6 day layoff in that race. Entered right back, in stakes company, on Sunday.
I think it will be her 7th start of the meet. That's almost as many starts as her second dam, Akinemod, made in her entire career. |
