Should be with that Drosselmeyer vote, he had to be high when he clicked that box

justindew 01-20-2011 01:10 PM

Anyone know who voted against Uncle Mo?

JerseyJ 01-20-2011 01:14 PM

Can we strip Jerardi's privliges for voting for Juan Carlos Guerrero for trainer?

slotdirt 01-20-2011 01:15 PM

Who are 99.3 percent of these voters, and why did Abstain and No Vote get so many votes for Horse of the Year? Those people who voted for Abstain and No Vote should have their voting privileges revoked!

Thunder Gulch 01-20-2011 01:20 PM

How about Ellen Parker with the Zenyatta, Goldlkiova, AWESOME FEATHER ballot for HOY? Just to clear it up, she voted for the Mosses and Mike Smith as well.

randallscott35 01-20-2011 01:27 PM

Who doesn't have a vote? What a joke.

slotdirt 01-20-2011 01:32 PM

I can't remember how Eclipse voting is determined - is it points based or how many first place votes a horse gets? If it's the former, Ellen Parker should be investigated.

slotdirt 01-20-2011 01:38 PM

I just did a quick search for Ellen Parker and found that she and, I presume, her husband - a fellow by the name of Ron - both didn't include Blame in their top three. And moreover, what the heck qualified those guys to be eclipse award voters? The fact they have the worst website in history and used web polls at bris.net and DRF to determine that Zenyatta should be horse of the year?

Who are these people? About 1/2 of them are mysteries to me.

Well a lot of the ones I know voted in a ridiclous manner in some cases. But how can horseracing/NTRA/turfwriters let so many unqualified people vote for year end awards?

Merlinsky 01-20-2011 05:46 PM

Ah, a shocker, Davidowitz and Haskin voted Zenyatta. If they don't have matching "I :{>: Zenyatta" tattoos, they should really consider it. I still smile remembering the epic Byk-Davidowitz flare up that they were fine about and other folks thought was "I'll never speak to that fool again" level. Both of them were like "what's the matter?" Haskin got Z hugs and smooches. Can't blame him one bit (if you'll pardon the word choice there). I found it interesting that Bill Nack went for Blame. Some folks I have a lot of respect for, but a whole lot of people are on here I've never heard of. It's like the Hollywood Foreign Press voting for the Golden Globes with a lot of these names.

Davidowitz was a lost cause...Haskin voting for her....he is Fredo to me now.

Hopefully a more qualified group votes for the Hall of Fame. Or am I just getting my hopes up.
