Zenyatta for Nobel Prize
 

I think she should be the first dual winner for Nobel Prizes.

For Peace: Her undeniable popularity has brought together men and women from all over the world and has helped smooth the perceived "East Coast Bias" chip that the California race fans carry around.

Economics: Her entry into 4 overwhelmed fields of 4 slow mares each, expanded the show pools to levels never before seen.

Any more awards we can give her?

Open question to everyone who is trashing Zenyatta:

Were you also opposed to:

Muhammad Ali
Bobby Fischer
Billie Jean King
Mario Andretti
Tiger Woods

and the like? As these individuals, and many others, had the effect of pulling in new fans to their respective sports (or games in the case of chess). Each can be argued to have others who have surpassed at least some of their accomplishments, but they all had a draw that got people interested in their field due to their individual performance.

Zenyatta belongs in that category, even if she was defeated, just as Muhammad Ali had lost some fights and titles, and Mario Andretti did not win every race he was in.

Because they routinely challenged the best in their sports.

Horse racing has never seen, and is unlikely to ever see, a horse who has the same impact on horse racing as Tiger Woods had/has on golf.

If this is an IQ test as to who doesn't belong, the answer is clearly Mario Andretti.

It's a great and very funny title, just a couple of days too late.
