A Great Day For Racing

CONGRATULATIONS ZENYATTA. Her win will do more for racing than any other horse. Many many new fans are involved because of her.
THANK YOU QUEEN

Who needs a program/form when you have a sign or cut out of a horse's head? New fans of the sport I guess?

Eclipse awards, which may be a nice addition to the resume for certain jockey's, trainers and breeding operations, have no impact on the success or failure of the sport as a whole.

If you love Zenyatta, that's great. I certainly don't dislike her. But this award has absolutely no connection to helping or hurting the sport, especially since she is now retired.

I saw thousands of young girls at the track cheering for Z. 10 YEARS FROM NOW THEY WILL REMEMBER THE Z EXPERIENCE. Hopefully they come back as players, owners or some how involved in racing.

I saw a bunch of young girls, freezing cold and dealing with her defeat in tears after this year's BC. They're probably not coming back....

Or maybe they will be pissed when they walk into a Pawn Shop trying to hawk their bobblehead and "Big Hoss"(Pawn Stars) tells them they arent selling at 25 bucks a piece.

I heard a bunch of spoons banging on NY/KY highchairs after the Eclipse Awards last night.

They are, no doubt, coming back.

Is that the idiot from Del Mar (Coach's avatar) in the middle?

Zenyatta has done so much for racing huh? How is the attendance and handle doing in California? Which just happens to be one of her own home tracks? Are they camping out for the first race on Wednesday yet?

slotdirt 01-18-2011 01:53 PM

More annoying, Zenyatta fans or Patriots fans? It seems pretty close.

How could you really tell? It seems like all the Pats fans are. M.I.A.

When TVG shows the feed of Cali tracks you see owners and trainers
in attendance. The feed from Aqueduct only shows yellow snow.
