Probably should have cancelled it for this year, considering that it's usually run at a mile and there's a bigger race the next day with the same condition.

In '06, before the BC Dirt Mile started, they ran this on BC Day and it was a 14 horse field.

I was thinking the same thing.
That race was basically the Dirt mile that year.
The very nice It's No Joke won....for one of Makers' many ex wives.

Correct. And the other preliminary stake was basically the F&M Sprint.

I thought Rebecca Maker was his cousin?

The Jimmy V is a really nice race.

herkhorse 11-04-2010 05:27 AM

I've always liked Silver Edition. I wish D Wayne would enter him in a race he could win.

If the 4 veers out right and takes the 5,6 out and Apart breaks down, I think he can beat the 3.

As do I, but I'm a big Noble's Promise fan and would like to see him win.

Not sure he is a play off the layoff but he is certainly the main contender.

Even when he was good, he was a huge hanger.

And D Wayne has no races this time of year when his horses can win races. Wait for Oaklawn.
