I have never measured her but she is in the 15 - 15.1 hand range

I am seriously considering sending her directly to Philly and having her debut there in a few weeks.

So is there a chance that she won't run here on the 24th?

That also means we won't get to see her when we're in Ocala the last week of this month? :(

Leo,

Missus Mayflower has been slowed by sore shins. Chuck will evaluate this week if she has improved to the point where he can get her in a race before the end of the Tampa season.

Redboard King will almost certainly not debut in Florida. As he wrote recently, Chuck is inclined to save the gelding for turf racing in Chicago or Philadelphia. He is doing very well, and in addition to just taking the extra time with him, it doesn't make sense to run him now for purses significantly below what he'd run for up north. Plus, there is the option to run on the synthetic main at Arlington as well, which he may like.

a question probably not answerable at this time, but will throw it out there anyway - if and when he gets to the races, is there any chance RK would ever run on the grass at Churchill this summer or is Arlington grass/syn more likely because of purse structure, location etc???

Right now Philadelphia and the mid -Atlantic area look like his summer destination. He has trained really well on the dirt the last 30 days or so and I am thinking that we will run him on the dirt first before trying turf. Obviously if there are spots avilable we will try him at Philly but Monmouth, Delaware, Pimlico, Penn nat'l, and Colonial are all potential tracks that he could race at.

thank you and that's good news - at least now we won't have to worry about that Brit race caller mangling RK's name! :D

Just think of what Battaglia could do to it.
