Surprised no one has any thoughts about this race...

Brother of Ghostzapper/City Zip (CITY WOLF) featured, but you may have heard Satish Sanan talk about the hopes Padua has for second timer ODYSSEUS.

Team Valor and Violette send FORWARD HATCH, a Forestry second time starter, and POW WOW from Tony Dutrow and the Moores looks OK. Plenty more in here as well...

Re: City Wolf, I still think 7f is too short. I think you'll start seeing how good he is once he gets two turns

I know, can never live up to those expectations, but I just think he needs more ground, he seems one paced

City Wolf needs grass.

His chances of being good on dirt were minimal being by that sire, right?

Yeah because Swift Temper, First Sam, and Giant Moon sucked on dirt?

Fredo, you have to be familiar with the poster above and his affinity for this particular sire.

When you try to name three good dirt horses by a six-figure sire, and those are the three you come up with, he's not been productive on dirt.

Not my favorite dirt sire BUT Hold Me Back is ok on dirt and so is First Passage. My point was he has had enough success not to discount him as JUST a turf producer.

One suck up 2nd on dirt doesn't make Hold Me Back ok on dirt.

Considering how many chances he's had to throw a true star on dirt and the best he's done is Swift Temper/First Samurai/Giant Moon/Hold Me Back/First Passage, I'd say he's pretty much a turf/synthetic sire. Either that or he sucks in general.

Who was that horse that ran second to Tiago at Oaklawn? He was a freakshow and it was a tragedy he got hurt.

He has at least 2 serious dirt derby contenders this year.

Heatseeker? Every major stakes he won was on synthetic and he was G1-placed on turf in Ireland.

His Oaklawn race was really good, kinda like Zenyattas... Plus like half the people around here say Tiago would have been a freak on dirt, so losing to him with I think a 107 beyer is not that bad.
