Do California OTB's take Derby bets on Friday?
 

Just found out we have a spontaneous road trip to the California "gold country" Friday afternoon, with a return after The Derby on Saturday night.

Anyone know if California OTB's will offer Derby wagering on Friday? (tomorrow, here).

I sure hope so!

I guess I'll find out tomorrow, of course. But curious tonight.

yes... but im not sure about the full card. Obviously the Derby, Oaks/Derby Double, and the Oaks/Woodford/Derby Pick 3

Last year they did, I assume so this year as well. I'm headed to the San Mateo OTB this morning, I'll PM you when I get there to let you know if they're taking early betting.

I'll probably spin by my OTB around noon today.

If not taking wagers yet, I'll get my sister-in-law to place the bet for me tomorrow. I don't think she's ever placed a bet in her life. She'll need a quick tutorial on superfecta wheels and tri-box's to make sure she gets it right..
