Preakness Day Seating

Looking for some insight on seating for the Preakness. On the website the seats they have left are Grandstand Concourse Box(90), Grandstand Concourse (75) and Grandstand Apron Box (100). Are these decent seats or are there any other options that I am missing?

I like the outdoor seats best, but of those options, might as well just opt for the indoor seating for $75. The apron box is fine, but you basically sit in a folding chair.

been to the preakness 10 years in a row now, i've never sat inside, its just my personal preference. If you're gonna sit outside i sugest apron box, thats the only tickets i get. They're folding chairs, but if you have group you can square or corner yourself in the row.

The inside seating is fine for what it is, and when it's the occasional 90 degree May day in Baltimore, the AC isn't all bad. You get a view of the entire track and all the port-a-potties in the infield as well. To each their own though.

Where do you purchase the "inside" tickets? I do not see any listed on the website...

Those $75 seats are indoors, I believe.

Is that a ticket that is purchased at the track or is one that can be purchased online. I don't see anything on the preakness.com website that has "indoor" seating for $75, unless I am missing it.

Ah, I see. Grandstand Upper Reserve is inside. Grandstand concourse - I sat there last year - is outside.

You're under cover with grandstand concourse, and it does rain on Preakness Day every once in awhile.

The "under cover" part is the good part, I will be with my dad and he can't handle the sun and standing all day like used to (happened at the derby a few years back)...thx again for the help.

My preference is upper grandstand reserve. These seats can be had on ebay for $100 and in many cases it includes Friday's seats as well.If I'm not mistaken all upper reserve seats have an unobstructed view of the whole track with the exception of some seats in section 1.Look for rows near the end of the alphabet, they are closer to the top and make for a shorter walk to the betting windows.

I generally prefer to be outside but I thought the Grandstand Apron Box seats were a waste of money. The view wasn't that great and the seats were falling apart. Lines to the bathrooms and windows were long.
