Preakness Beyer for Big Brown?
 

Anyone know what is was. Apparently it was below a 100.

This blogger (link below) says 100. And makes some good points about the number being deceptively low, given the tight hold and ease up at the end.

The beyer doesn't say anything about Big Brown except that the field he beat was very slow.

I agree, the competition just wasn't up to it. They need to make at least 4 weeks between the tc races. Then one would hope more KD horses would enter the race.

What good would that do anyone?

He smoked them all from post TWENTY, which he wouldn't face again in the 4-weeks-away Preakness, and from the looks of yesterday's race, he could have smoked anyone in the Derby by five all over again with something left in the tank.

Whats the difference what the Beyer was??? Big Brown didn't even break a sweat...

niether did smarty jones or funnycide, what happened when they got to belmont ? i'll believe it when he crosses the line. i will be there again to see if its done. but anyone thats seen as many races and bet as many as i have, knows nothings a sure thing. i've heard it all before, he should win but stranger things have happened and thats an understatement. the preakness is usually the weakest race of the 3 .

I think they need to open the gates incrementally. Let the slow horses get a head start. Make it fair that way :rolleyes:
