As a chalk eater and bad prognosticator....

I thought many would like to go back and read this thread from earlier this summer when I ived in Louisville and had the benefit of watching horses train. Enjoy.

(no "chest-thumping", just factual documentation) :)

Unfortunately Bel, that wasn't exactly my choice - unless i wanted to be an assistant trainer to eventually become a trainer, and I decided that I didn't want to take that path....

I am a bit less informed now that I'm away from the track, which is frustrating, but it is an even swap when you consider that it is in the low 80s today in Ocala :D

Seattleallstar 11-15-2006 12:05 PM

I love chalk

I'm teasing~yes if I were down there I'd be able to take a few strokes off my golf game and wouldn't look like Casper the friendly ghost
hasn't been bad here though, aside from today's downpour
nice spot w/ SS, my fav part of the game is watching the transition
from 2 to 3...will be interesting with ol' Mr. N conditioning

I remember that thread.
Unbridled Express looked great..
I just wish I would have played the trifecta as well.

Speaking of Unbridled Express, anyone know where he's pointing to next?
I don't think he's raced since that speed duel at Saratoga, where CQ walked past them down the stretch. Was that the Hopeful?

Yeah, good thing you didn't bet on Soldier's Dancer ($8.40) and Minefield ($5.20) either...that would have been horrible....

By the way, tip sheets are for the hopeless if you bet them literally pick-for-pick...I really hope you don't actually resort to betting anyone's touts, do you?

They are what they are, man......I would never bet anybody else's picks and you shouldn't either :)

I'm in the publication business and I know tip sheets are effective print, but that is about it.....they are what they are....

You are stepping on to my home turf trying to beat me at the Church.???..won't happen.....if we have some sort of consistent tourney for cash - count me in....Byk can be the keeper if he wants and we can both mail him a check to hold onto for the winner.....what are the terms?
