No War of Will?
I looked but haven't found anything in regards to his performance in the Jim Dandy. I can't be the only one who saw it but something was wrong pre-race. Casse was worried about how he was acting and actually moved him to the 3 post away from the other horses (he was the 6 horse). They were trying to get him to drink water and using a sponge to get water on him to cool him down. I just happen to be at the paddock near the entrance to see it or I would have had no clue. |
Game Winner out with virus..

MAXIMUM SECURITY UPDATE
Aug. 15, 2019 FROM: Tom Luicci Media Director Monmouth Park OCEANPORT, N.J. – Trainer Jason Servis said today that multiple Grade 1 winner Maximum Security will skip the Travers Stakes on Aug. 24 at Saratoga to point to the Pennsylvania Derby on Sept. 21 because the Haskell Invitational and Florida Derby winner “still is not 100 percent.” “I don’t like where he’s at. He’s not eating the way I want him to eat and he’s not carrying the weight I’d like to see him carry,” Servis said late Thursday afternoon in making the announcement. “I just want to make sure he’s 100 percent for his next race and he’s not there right now. “The best thing is to wait until he is 100 percent and point to the Pennsylvania Derby.” Maximum Security, the first horse disqualified from first place in the Kentucky Derby, has been stabled at Monmouth Park since returning from Louisville in early May. |

Didn’t see Steve’s post sorry. If he comes out out that race fine I definitely think he will be there. I think game winner will be there for sure. Mr money for sure. Hoping on max security and leaning towards him running as there isn’t much left if he wants to run classic

On other hand, $1,000,000 v. $300,000 and PHA is Rick Porter's backyard.. |
The West’s want an eclipse. If Maximum Security runs at Parx, no way Game Winner does.
I also can’t believe Mandella ships to Parx but I guess we will see. |

Rosario on Endorsed....take my money.
Will back up with a Tacitus/Endorsed exacta. |
Has Joe Talamo ever ridden at Saratoga ??? Equibase goes back to 2017 for jockey stats at the Spa..not sure where else to look. Looks like he might have a chance on MG and I was wondering how he has fared at the Spa in the past

Find it hard to believe Mucho Gusto will get 10 furlongs.

Mucho Gusto may not win Saturday (I won’t be using). But it certainly won’t be due to Joe Talamo. He is a first rate jock who has ridden in many big races. I think he can handle Saratoga.

I'll reiterate again that the Baffert uses Talamo on horses where physical strength are of paramount importance. |
I like Talamo and he is having a solid meet at Delmar. Hes a good rider. Hard to ever count out Baffert horses in big races but seems like a last minute audible to run here. Looking at this race someone is going to take them a long way out front. I think Code of Honor is horse to beat.

Tacitus lost...weird. Hopefully he gets a better trip next time.

That was a war, and Code of Honor a very deserving winner. It’s honestly going to be sickening if Maximum Security ducks his way to an Eclipse Award in a division of hard-trying, likable colts like we saw in the Travers.
