Outside generally the place to be at Philly. Home of the historically dead rail.

LOL.. I see why you asked now. Didn't notice the Gold Cup post.

I know it's difficult to be enthused about what goes on at Parx on a going basis, but this is a terrific card they've put together. Besides the stakes, a heady MSW and a bunch of deep ALW's.

Excellent card imo!!

Lockdowns time to shine. She will love love the cutback. Her last 8.5f race, while missing the break wins this.

and BEST of all, I won't be in attendance this year as I'll be in Jupiter, FL hacking up the beautiful course of Jupiter CC and giving their groundskeeper all he can handle all week.

That said, I'll be wagering from afar. Nothing crazy here, imo, with Pletcher / Pletcher / Baffert / Baffert. Yayyyyyyy

Have fun Steve while in town. Stop down Port Richmond and try a #witorwitoutski , the Keilbasa cheesesteak that my brother invented and is the talk of the town!

Mike.. Will try to get there! Have more time this weekend as I think we're staying for Iggs-Jints Sunday. Had a great Friday night (Mission Taquiria late dinner)/Saturday (Miles Table breakfast) for our Anniversary this past weekend for the Rittenhouse Square Art Show.

Have fun in Jupiter.

I'm going with Actress in the Cotillion. Looking for the 46 half. i'm guessing 8-1

Liked this horse but don't like post at all here. Race looks to set up nice for Salty and Abel Tasman.

Why would a 3-year-old even bother with the JCGC anymore with the spacing and purse of the Pennsylvania Derby available?

Perhaps the trainer wants to keep his top 2 horses away from each other until it's inevitable?

Excellent choices, Steve! Happy Anniversary (!!!) and enjoy Eagles going to 2-1 while the Gina's fall to 0-3!

Yes.. They have a picnic grove. Coolers OK but get checked.. No outside alcohol.

ninetoone 09-21-2017 05:45 PM

IRAP will turn the tables on West Coast.

Highly unlikely. But they both ran well @Saratoga.

Yours truly. Sec. 729, Row 13, Seat 3 for 14 years.

taxicab 09-21-2017 09:40 PM

Abel Tasman going for her fifth Grade one.
Between Abel & Vale Dori(who just put in a monster work the other day)Baffert will have a nice hand in the Distaff.

I am betting Mopotism in the Cotillion and American Pastime in the Gallant Bob.

I really dont see much way to play the Penn Derby given the betting will probably line up with the horses I figure have the best chance.

The horse that catches my interest in the P-4 sequence is Page Mckenney,as long as the morning line is near correct I'll go in that direction.
I'm looking at the all button in the sprint.
Haven't decided in the Cotillion........besides the obvious carry of Abel T.
West Coast & Outplay to finish.

Not in person, but all 3 among my favorites along with Ben Hawkins, Timmy Brown, Wilbert Montgomery.. My 700 Level tenure came the last 14 years of the building, 1990-2003.

Also trying to get either Ann Arbor Eddie or Action Everyday into the exacta in the Gallant Bob.

Shame that Petrov is coupled with Coal Front. It will create better value for my top choice in American Pastime but the horse was usable but not coupled with Coal Front who can win but will be a dreadful underlay at 7/5 or so.
