Good field for the Test. Looking forward to that one.

Merlinsky 08-04-2010 01:29 PM

C'mon Borel drew the rail? This is a sign, people. A sign, I tells ya. ;) In all seriousness, we joke about Bo-rail but how often does he start on the rail and win on it vs a victory from other post positions? Not that it matters with MTB, he'll be at the back no matter what post he starts at. I was just interested in the stat.

Pica Slew in a romp. Probably not a particularly lucrative opinion on its own, though.

It's a shame they took her away from Calascibetta, though.

I think you'll get a better price than you think. Maybe as high as 5/1. Don't know what the Thoro number was on the Azalea (yet) but I think between Fanny Freud, Bonnie Blue Flag, and Champagne D'Oro there will be at least 3 others taking money.

I like Buckleupbuttercup a bit if she's the 8-1 I think she'll be.

As for taking her away- it's possible Calascibetta doesn't have a license in New York and they don't want to waste time going through the process. Never seen him run one outside of Florida.

Ya I thought about that. . . It's possible.

And trust me, its a PROCESS. It isn't simple, plus, in terms of a trainer, I think they want you to have full work comp for only one horse.

Would Cruz still be riding if it went to a different trainer? I think Phil's thought is dead on.

Now, if only they can keep that SPEED bias going, there should be some bigtime figs.

Fixed all your typos again.

Smooth Operator 08-04-2010 09:27 PM

You ain't seen nuthin yet, fats

Wait till RA makes that 10f attempt later in the month

They'll have that strip playing like the German Autobahn.

And then the same ****ers DEMAND that Z ship in for a race. After the results of the 2 turn races the past few weeks, would you ship in a closer? Sure. Of course. You ship your horse cross county and then get hit with a speed bias. And if your horse is 17 for 17, 5 years from now, the same ****ers are calling you an idiot. NYRA has a HISTORY of NOT playing FAIR. Screw 'em. Of course, they're real good about 'looking the other way' with Pletcher up there; 'cause, his horses are FAST.

I like her too and was going to hook her up with Christine Daae, but early wagering has Buttercup getting hammered down....we'll see.

my miss storm cat 08-07-2010 03:58 PM

I was hoping the odds on Champagne d'Oro would stay where they were... was planning on using her underneath.

Have my win bet in but am still playing around with my super.

Belle of the Hall is at 9/2 right now ... I'm not seeing that at all.

Good luck to you.

my miss storm cat 08-07-2010 04:20 PM

I am so glad I left Belle of the Hall out of my super. :wf

Hope you did well.

My three A's ran last, second last and third last, so I doubt you did worse than me.

tiggerv 08-07-2010 04:53 PM

Whoa

2Hot4TV 08-07-2010 04:54 PM

What hoppin?

ateamstupid 08-07-2010 04:56 PM

I do believe we have a new leader in the HOY race. What a gutsy horse Blame is.

the_fat_man 08-07-2010 04:56 PM

He can get 10F. Yeah. No problem.

Did he go SLOW enough early?

Too bad, for him, this wasn't LAST WEEK'S track.

Hoist Her Flag 08-07-2010 04:57 PM

They needed 2 months off two run2nd

Very professional racehorse. Goes out and does what he has to.:tro:

2Hot4TV 08-07-2010 05:01 PM

QR had it his own way and you can see QR shift gears in mid stretch, but it wasnt enough to beat the winner.

pba1817 08-07-2010 05:01 PM

Crawled early and crawled late and got tagged... this isn't Gulfstream Park.

Travis Stone 08-07-2010 05:01 PM

Blame is for real.

Not so tough when he has to 2 turn anywhere other than GULF STREET. Told them that (many times.)

Final three furlogns in 36.96 is nothing to sneeze at, but for Blame, who made up a few lengths while going wide, it's really strong.

This was a HUGE run by Blame. 1st of all, Dominguez didn't do his part, getting cute, and not helping with the pace. So, Musket Man is left to get gutted chasing. Then, Gomez is doing his usual herkly/jerky, twirl-the-reins-repeatedly BS in the stretch, never HELPING the horse in the run through the lane. If Cordero is up, for example, BLAME BURIES HIM.

No question the track has been fairer the end of this week .
