DT is the chalk.

pointman 03-19-2010 06:51 PM

I have to consider making this trip. A Dee Tee horse at 2-1 ML at Pha is scary, I hope she doesn't go off at 1-9! :D

Kasept 03-20-2010 05:19 AM

KNS is an underlay at 2-1 or less. She is the most consistant mare in the race, but there are 3-4 here who are within range of her and can jump up. I'm curious about the pace. Won't be a total surprise if she ends up on top early.

Hickory Hill Hoff 03-20-2010 07:52 PM

Anyone have the past preformances for KNS race???

AeWingnut 03-21-2010 11:54 AM

Do you think she will need a race or do you think these horses are beatable no matter her what fitness issues, if any, she may have

?

just wondering

2-1 I can see first flash being something ridiculous like 3-5

AeWingnut 03-21-2010 12:04 PM

Kickin N Screamin and Nice n Jazzy in the exacta :)

see they call KnS - Jazzy

so it has to make sense

Many Others 03-21-2010 12:20 PM

cant believe its 72 degrees there - am sittin in 8 inches snow ugh - GL KNS safe trips...

Many Others 03-21-2010 12:24 PM

uh-oh, think was eased, will wait to hear from Chuck... damn..

Payson Dave 03-21-2010 12:26 PM

may have gotten bumped early while trying to get position going into the first turn... I think she finished 2nd or 3rd to last

Halfbridled 03-21-2010 12:27 PM

yikes. . .I'll be waiting or news. Did she finish?

I saw that horse come over on her at the begining.

Halfbridled 03-21-2010 12:27 PM

no claims I hope?

TouchOfGrey 03-21-2010 12:28 PM

I thought I saw her cross the wire. I hope she's OK.

Many Others 03-21-2010 12:31 PM

it was the way the race was called was alarming but think saw her cross the wire in back also, impossible to tell with the bad online feed....

i think you're right about the way it was called, but I was watching online too.

AeWingnut 03-21-2010 12:37 PM

I intently watched the replay and also believe she did cross the wire.
hopefully she just needed a race

Kasept 03-21-2010 12:43 PM

Chuck traveling and haven't talked to TC yet, but she will almost certainly scope with lungs full of mucous like Target Practice did yesterday. Chuck was very concerned when Target came back sick that the barn might be coming down with bug. It is the right time of year for that... Race back in two weeks. April 6. 1m-70y.

Many Others 03-21-2010 12:44 PM

okay charts up, indeed made it back - says "through early" so hopefully she just got knocked around a bit and nothing serious - g/l to all rest of day -

Kasept 03-21-2010 01:05 PM

Just talked to Chuck who talked to vet... Indeed, KNS was one fluid-filled mare. Antibiotics to clear whatever it is that she, Target Practice, Ship's Cabin, Rolled Up and even Richwood Silver all caught.

Kickin N Screamin will by-pass the April 6th race in favor of a return visit to the lawn of Atlantic City Race Course which runs this year April 18-24.

Halfbridled 03-21-2010 03:37 PM

Well that explains a lot. I hope they don't have anything serious and that it gets cleared up quickly.

pointman 03-21-2010 06:33 PM

Just got back from the Pha. Unfortunate that Kicken had to come down with something against this field. Tony had her in perfect position but obviously there was nothing there when he asked. Not much to say but that she ran like a horse that had lungs full of mucous, the only positive is the potential for an overlayed price next out.

Terrific day hanging with the crew, as always great to hangout with Dave and Darrin and a pleasure to meet Pweizer and BT today. I have no doubt that we will be getting a photo sometime soon somewhere on the Northeastern coast!

Hopefully she and the rest of the horses can get over their colds. I hate 'em.

I hope KnS has an easier time in Atlantic City than she did last time

Last time she shipped from Chicago to Philly to an unfamiliar barn and then to AC for the race.

pmacdaddy 03-21-2010 07:59 PM

Nice time seeing / meeting everyone today. Beautiful day and well worth the trip down the Turnpike. Hope Kickin bounces back well.
Another AC start would be fun.

pweizer 03-21-2010 08:16 PM

Definately a fun day not withstanding the result. Special thanks to Dave who filled in admirably for Steve as the sharp dressed partner on the scene and who guided us all around.

As always, thanks to Chuck and Steve for making the whole DeeTee concept a reality.

But Dave's "reverse DT ensemble". Green shirt with blue tie, was a big flop with the racing Gods. Never to be seen again... :D

Today's combo has been "officially" retired. :D

It's done enough.

Heels1989 03-21-2010 09:05 PM

Some more photos from today. Certainly a disappointing result for KnS but totally understandable considering the scope results. Tony was again great with the group both pre and post race. All and all another beautiful day at the races with the Dee Tee faithful. Always a fun time.

I did also. Clearly I was just a bit slow on the trigger but as I looked at the photo I thought in was kinda a cool shot.

SuffolkGirl 03-22-2010 01:37 PM

Thanks for the pictures Darren and Dave - love the last picture in both. Dave, for yours, instead of, "and they're off" we can call it, "and they left"
Hopefully KNS recovers nicely.

yeah, that's nice
I wonder what the yellow wrist band is for

question

they brought her in via pony and saddled her outside the paddock and then she went in the paddock to get the saddle off... correct?
