Daily. And then there's the roadwork she gets in the rest of the time in her stall.

She's been much, much better about 'running the stall' ever since she spwent time with Thebby on the farm... But she still keeps 'active'.

SuffolkGirl 01-22-2010 08:59 AM

Safe travels to all. I will be watching and cheering on TwinSpires TV. Much too busy at work to sneak down to PA for the day :(

Looking forward to a trip to NY tomorrow, though:)

pointman 01-22-2010 09:30 AM

Good Luck to everyone today, cannot make it, but will be at Big A tomorrow! Let's get our girl home! (hoping the drop on the 7 looks suspicious for a reason).

seems like more and more trainers willing to drop em like a rock due to the hike in purses even for a 5k race

True, but dropping a horse off of two wins at higher tags off a two month layoff with one slow work says one of two things, they are going to try to steal a purse or they want to get rid of the horse because something happened last time out, these are the type I like to bet against. It is hard to believe that this one will not get claimed if she looks right in the paddock.

MISTERGEE 01-22-2010 10:02 AM

wow, 23k for $5000 claimers!! fantastic, good luck DT

I bet against them every time , and you will always come out ahead in the long run staying away from these type drop downs. 99% there is a hole in this one somewhere thats just about to break, It is usually a case of when, during or after the race

Here is the one thing about this horse. She is out of conditions and is a PA bred. This is probably the correct spot for her considering she gets to run for $32,200. That is allowance money against 5 claimers. 5 claimers is probably a little aggressive but when your running for 32,200, you really aren't that concerned about the 5k. Hell, she wins and gets claimed, they get 24k.

If that were to happen at Arlington, you would get 11k. OUCH!

Good luck today, she should run good 2nd start over the surface

Great stuff and explanation.

With the 24k you can buy 4 more then when they all win their next start you made 76k.. This sounds like a plan.lol

The 14opt claimer at Penn Nat goes for 40k with 16k added for a Pa Bred.. 56k for a 14kclaimer IF you can find a Pa Bred to run a 80 Bsf..Unfortunately it isnt so easy..

GOOD LUCK TODAY KNS!

scanman 01-22-2010 12:14 PM

Best of luck today.

AeWingnut 01-22-2010 12:23 PM

I just weighed her down

but I'm on a run

TouchOfGrey 01-22-2010 01:01 PM

Good luck and safe trip to Kickin N Screamin.

tigerfan 01-22-2010 01:15 PM

10-1 ML down to 5-2 right after the 5th race just finished. Dee Tee pride at the windows. I love it.

Good luck, KNS!

MaTH716 01-22-2010 01:16 PM

Good Luck guys, I hope to see you guys in the winners circle.

Many Others 01-22-2010 01:30 PM

Good luck to KNS :{>: watching the feed at work through the minimized visualization window, see they finally gots her saddled and from what can tell her condition (shiny coat) looks great - here she comes in post parade, head bobbing and prancing a little but she's not crazy, those other mares look huge against her, fingers crossed - come home safe all...

SuffolkGirl 01-22-2010 01:37 PM

4th

Her stride seemed to shorten in the stretch. Tired? Distaste for the surface?

You were VERY right about this horse. Never got into it and was pulled up I think.

That rail is so deep at Philly..

freddymo 01-22-2010 01:42 PM

Good try for KNS 4th is a ok check..The winner freaked

Many Others 01-22-2010 01:44 PM

jmho and honest dont mean to anthropomorphize (sp? lol) but don't think she likes the Philly surface one little bit and is counting the days on her sharp little hoofs until Arlington opens - still ours????

pweizer 01-22-2010 01:44 PM

A great trip with no real excuse. Must just not like dirt.

Paul

horseofcourse 01-22-2010 01:47 PM

Nice of TVG to not show the race.

the 40% added money is hard to pass on especially in Pa were the money is unreal.. There is Penn Nat also and that kind maybe just what she needs.. 18k plus 40% doesnt suck for a 7 year old decent race mare..

Many Others 01-22-2010 01:57 PM

chart's up, glad to say KNS still ours and earned $1,380 for her efforts - sorry to say yes, #7 Naughty Nine vanned off ...
