NEW OFFERING: NY-bred filly package ready!

Just in time for Christmas, the package for the long-anticipated Dee Tee New York-bred is ready!

The Hook and Ladder filly out of Ausable (Comet Shine) was bred by the Bromans and acquired in a partnership arrangement with Joe Volpe of Melbourne, FL. She is doing great at Ken Lejuene's Ocala (FL) Farm, and is galloping more than a mile a day. She appears to be quite quick, and Ken expects she'll be 'early' and heavily geared towards sprints. Gary Sciacca will train once the filly comes north around April 15.

Shares are just $600 and there will be only 30 available as we need to raise about $18,000 to cover expenses between now and when she ships north!

Please PM or Email me to receive the information package: tpkasept@yahoo.com

She did come named... It's something long and silly that includes 'zinger'. We can have a new naming contest.

two that came to mind were 'hook echo' (indicates a coming tornado) and 'stairway to heaven'. i hope i'm not the only one who hears words and phrases and says 'hey, that would be an awesome name'.

Here's a link to her full brother LUV THAT LADDER... So the pedigree chart is the same: http://www.pedigreequery.com/luv+that+ladder

SIRE: Hook and Ladder (Dixieland Band)
DAM: Ausable (Comet Shine)

Ausable Chasm

You won't get STH approved...Copyright rule..hate it because I'm always trying to get a song title in the name and they usually shut it down

The Lows, that use Dan Peitz, are very big on names that are variations of song titles or bands... Steppenwolfer being the most notable. But they also had Coma Girl and a few others.

It's funny..they wouldn't approve Magic Bus, but they just approved The Magic Bus..you never know

Glad to hear! Our usual suspects and friends are definitely in for some shares. Will make sure everyone gets the info.

If we name her "Queen Umberto", is that good for some discounted chow?....:D

Ausable Chasm

That would have been my suggestion, Ausable Chasm is SO amazing, one of the best places in NYS- one of my best friends leads year-round tours of it.

I was thinking Ausable Chasm was the dams name.... I think that is a great NY/Adirondacks reference. Very cool.

I always thought it interesting that those savvy JC types catch things like song names and slave references, while names like apparently Shag on a Rock, Isitingood, whoosh obliviously right over their heads ;)

Danzig 12-17-2009 10:57 PM

is it just me, or does her facial marking look somewhat like one of the CDI spires? is the name 'aspire' taken?

Yes... he ran 2nd in the Hopeful and 3rd in the Champagne, and 2nd last in the BCJ this year. Should rebound for the derby trail.
