Tres Barrachos, the Rodney Dangerfield of California racing
|
I thought for sure that the undefeated mare everyone raves about all the time would be in here!
|
Are those morning lines for real? No respect for Rail Trip or Tres Borrachos (1-2 in the Gold Cup) If I am not mistaken, didnt horses who also ran in the Gold Cup like Bullasbay romp next out? Didnt Global Hunter win a G1 next out? Didnt Informed and Mast Track finish 1-2 in the San Diego?
|
I too am surprised by how little respect Rail Trip has gotten off of his last. Supposedly he's 25-1 in the BC Classic futures too. I don't love him, but he's clearly the one proven over synthetic to be semi-decent.
|
i thought Einstein would be favored LOL

Ron Ellis winning the Classic...Please I kind of like Parading. This is clearly a third surface horse. Shug has been ice cold since leaving Keeneland in the spring but this could be a surface that really suits Parading. I try him at 13 to 1 |
Quote:
no, she's too dimensional to run here...or something like that. what's misremembered chances here? evidently the track 'capper doesn't think too good, since he's at 12-1. |
Quote:
I dont like Ron Ellis because his horses tend to get hurt way more than normal but make no mistake he can train, and he has the best horse, by a distance. |

Parading's race at Keeneland wins this race easily. Rail trip woke up least race nicely. I won't no part of him at a short price. His ML is a joke he will be 9/5. |
The version of Rail Trip that showed up last time would romp again. It's risky to rely on non-cheaters(like Ellis) to consistently be able to beat cheaters(like twice-caught cheater O'neil,) but I hope he wins. On a level playing field, Ellis would of won many more graded races than he has.
|
Dont see a race thread for it but that Carlsbad can really run. We know west coast horses all suck ( : but that horses is going to take some beating in two months (if eligible)

Congrats Vic on Joel's win on Rendezvous in the Del Mar Derby @ 22-1. Hope you hammered him.

I bet Misremembered here , hoping for the old Baffert magic with a young horse
|
I like Claude.
|
I took the 12 awesome gem and i did an exacta box with 1,6,12. I think this race may fall apart. Good luck to all.
|
This is a crazy race....
Informed likes Del Mar... 15-1, perhaps he sits the cozy inside trip? Who knows. |

This poly stuff screws with my mind... I thought I was a watching a turf sprint on the far turn.

For how much did Meyerhoff sell Richard's Kid to the Z man? |
Mike Smith is a great jockey... Seriously why can't he ride like that 99.99% of the time? Great hit for anyone that had him.
|
Another game effort by Einstein (sporting the new Stronach silks).
He will probably be the second best US-based horse running in the BC Classic behind Zenyatta. I wonder how many horses the Euros will send over for the BC Classic. |

How about Gomez's ride on Col John:eek: |
Tough trip for a couple horses stuck down inside in the P.C. Most everyone will say they had every chance etc., but when it comes time to bet, they'll give them another chance(cheaper to talk than to bet.)
|
Quote:
He probably thought he could bump his way out from the inside like he did in the Travers. Once CJ had running room, it did not pass horses with ease. Gomez had to work to get his placing. |

I am not a huge fan of Eoin Harty as it seems he doesnt ready his runners off back to back goood efforts as his campagin with Well Armed should suggest. I would give this horse to Bob Baffert. |
Right. . . Well Armed's issues are all Harty's fault.

Richard's Kid a 107 BSF...
Zenz a 101... Rendesvouz 98... |
