Jason Taylor to Redskins......

Traded from Dolphins for a 2nd Round pick in 2009, and a 6th Round pick in 2010.

mclem0822 07-20-2008 07:09 PM

I'm happy with this move.....

He can still bring the pressure, and the Skins could stand to have more of a pass rushing threat. I know we got other Redskins fans here, what do you all think?

ninetoone 07-20-2008 07:19 PM

With Phillip Daniels out for the season, sounds like a good move to me.

That's for sure, Phillip will be missed. Taylor should be a nice fit.

ninetoone 07-20-2008 07:34 PM

He's gonna look good pounding Eli, Romo, and McNabb into the dirt.

That's what I'm talkin about! Can't wait to see that!:D

dalakhani 07-20-2008 10:09 PM

him and andre should make for the most lethal def end duos in the NFL. Carter is a freak of nature.

docicu3 07-20-2008 10:18 PM

Here we go again with the locals and their never ending desire for great players with skills in decline. This feels alot like the Bruce Smith fiasco. Local media will crucify Danny and over this. That is those that Danny hasn't purchased............

...........yet!

i'm glad to have him, even if it's only for a year or two. he's still a good player, and we needed help due to the injury....

OB-JECTION!!!

I object vociferously over the adoration of a recently acquired player who has washed up on shore and obviously will contribute only a little more than r2d2 does for the Indians.

Danzig 07-21-2008 07:08 AM

yeah, but you object to everything...and when aren't you vociferous?!

Mortimer 07-21-2008 07:12 AM

YOUR HONOR!!

I must object profusely once again. This is an outrage. It is not councils place to be judging my motives in this case. I find it inflammatory and racist. I want the little snot sanctioned ...forthwith.

Mortimer 07-21-2008 07:19 AM

Ah...a muzzling appliance.

Wise move ,sir. I applaud your judgment.

Mortimer 07-21-2008 07:25 AM

I didn't think you had it in you after noticing the oatmeal at the corner of your mouth this morning...but fine work...I must say.

Mortimer 07-21-2008 07:42 AM

I don't want to get personal, but she wears false buttocks padding as well.

Mortimer 07-21-2008 08:34 AM

I don't think we'll be hearing from MS. Clarke anymore today.

She's had a taste of the long knuckle.

She knows there's more waiting for her where that came from.

Mortimer 07-21-2008 08:45 AM

Redskins fans are easily excited over any Trojan Horse prancing through their gates.

Coach Pants 07-21-2008 09:21 AM

Dancing with the Stars.

SentToStud 07-21-2008 09:26 AM

Redskins were desperate and got robbed.

Taylor was an ok RDE on a sh1tty team. Now he's down to about 220 lbs and goes from playing right end on a defense built around him where he got some very cheap sacks and even cheaper forces in a divison with one decent offense and one decent QB to playing the left side in the NFC East against Manning, Romo and McNabb and teams that all can score.

At $15,000,00 for the next two years and at age 34, he's not worth a 2 plus a 6.

No more games vs the Jets or Oakland where he sacked up with 2 or 3 a game. At least Washington plays San Fran this year.

'Skins got jobbed.

dalakhani 07-21-2008 10:03 AM

I will admit, that this deal doesnt make much sense unless the plan is to win right now and it doesnt look like the skins are ready to do that especially with a new coach, system and a young qb that will have to start over yet again.

Either way, this will be a nice pass rush any way you slice it.

tiggerv 07-21-2008 11:17 AM

Looking forward to a 6-10 season.

Mortimer 07-21-2008 11:23 AM

It's a grind.

Looks like the Saints really got jobbed...got that POS Shockey & gave up 2nd and 5th round picks.

yeah, they did. i laughed a bit, while my husband threw up in his mouth a bit. poor guy, he's always been a saints fan.

dalakhani 07-21-2008 08:43 PM

If shockey can stay healthy, and that is a huge IF, was it such a bad trade for the saints?

I know the guy comes off as an ass but you cant knock the talent. He is a nice player that should fit in extremely well with that system. With Colston and Shockey, they will be able to work the middle about as well as any team in the league.
