Spurs will take it in 7

I know these cockroaches. They play dead a lot, but you got to get the head of the hammer on them.

Coach Pants 05-13-2008 11:37 PM

They're looking like an aging team with injury problems. Maybe next year. Seems like they can't win back to back.

The hornets did a great job double teaming Duncan.

Hornets are the better team, but I just think, when it comes right down to it,
they will choke on their shots. It's one thing to get win #3 from these roaches, but I don't know if they got the nerve to do it when they have to. They played great defense tonite. They can do that again, but I just think they're gunna come up cold shooters from here on in.

Coach Pants 05-13-2008 11:53 PM

Anything is possible. I'd just like to see some more competitive games. These blowouts are extremely boring.

SCUDSBROTHER 05-14-2008 12:00 AM

Spurs will win game 6 easily, and game 7 will probably be close.

Coach Pants 05-14-2008 12:14 AM

I just hope, at the very least, if there is a blowout that a player tells his mama to sit their azz down.

Mortimer 05-14-2008 09:43 AM

Oooooooooo

Mortimer 05-14-2008 11:14 AM

I guess I should stick to The FROZEN ONE and the Cavaliers.

Coach Pants 05-14-2008 11:16 AM

And you thought his tying his shoe laces at midcourt with no one else around but every camera on nationwide tv.........was a simple, pointless act?

How many times do you see a player tie BOTH shoelaces at MIDCOURT....with no one else around??

Do you think he'll mature to the point of at least entertaining the idea that he needs a coach that will teach him how to be a leader? It's obvious that Brown has no control over him.

EAUXH!!

Finally someone else said it...I would have been drawn and quartered if I had.

You,too, have noticed this. I didn't think anyone else saw him take over sideline huddles and scream at players while Brown walks away. His answer to this strange action is..."Hey--he's the leader here and he knows what's happening on the floor better than I do."

I have to admit I think Brown's hands are completely tied as the owner knows no bounds in trying to please The KING.

Coach Pants 05-14-2008 01:17 PM

They won't win multiple titles if they continue what they're doing. He could end up like Charles Barkley.

Mortimer 05-14-2008 02:59 PM

But someone will wind up with multiple fractures if they keep acting like they are king.....or a mutiny will happen at the very least.

Mortimer 05-14-2008 03:05 PM

I like the Cavaliers for the win tonight, but as I mentioned..if they lose it's essentially all over.

I would also like to claim yet another live victory over HoseGarden. He said defnese all over the place. I agree with defense, but told him two fine defensive teams are at it and the one that comes up with more offense at the end will win.Boston had some open shots at the end...and missed them. Cleveland had some, too. ..but they made theirs.

Let's see the cheater try and weasel out of that one.

The Spurs are clearly not as athletic.
The Hornets have played some
very good defense.

I dont know which way this will go.

The Spurs have had one real stretch
of consistency (beginning of the season)
but little after this. We have been blown
out multiple times by multiple teams, unlike
the past. We have kind of fallen into some
wins; I believe our record should be worse
than it is. The Phoenix series could have
gone the other way imo.

When we win, we are wise. When we lose,
we are old. Well we are both. And when
older players get banged up, it takes longer
to recover. Parker and Ginobili are not at
full strength. Duncan has been doubled
by two big guys, but usually he figures
out a way when they dont double. He did
not last night. He was AWFUL (21 rebounds
withstanding). Parker showed
very little agressiveness last night.

Chris Paul is
flippn amazing. I knew West would give us trouble.
Mobile fowards that can shoot and drive are
trouble, especially since Horry is not in shape.
He was our guy with his length that really helped
out. He is very crafty, but that injury has him not
even close to full speed.

Bowen has been flat out awesome. By far our
best player that knows what he needs to bring
every night.

If we have Parker, Ginobili and Duncan all doing
what they do best; And Bowen playing defense,
they cannot beat us. Problem is that at least two
of the 3 scorers mentioned have been really bad
in EVERY game at New Orleans. If Chris Paul dies
for some unexplained reason we will win.

I will be unable to watch the Celts Cavs matchup.
Morton will appreciate that.

Your curly head man is a great defender.
Send him our way.

Just looked at the box. Lebron has 23 of 46 points and the Cavs
are winning? There is no way they should be up at half Morton,
not with this inequity. I dont get it. I cant watch, how could
this be?

Because they had only played one half.

35 of 89..ball hogging and turning it over.

They lost.

Stick with physics.

San Antonio v New Orleans (Series Winner)

San Antonio +225 New Orleans -357

I guess I am missing something here.

Coach Pants 05-15-2008 07:47 PM

Moneyline
Hornets +260
25/65

Hornets +7
110/100

Thanks..I grok that now.

The bottom one..the spread is the Hornets getting 7....and you risk 110 to win 100?...is that right?

Coach Pants 05-15-2008 10:03 PM

Yeah.

They looked like a bunch of Kansas City Faggots the last 4 minutes of the 3rd.

Coach Pants 05-15-2008 10:08 PM

Horry better watch out in game 7. That was a typical Spurs move right there.

pgardn 05-15-2008 11:08 PM

We have not figured them out at their place.
Horry pulled a cheap shot, worse than Nash
because he knew West had a bad back.

Parker, Ginobili and Duncan must all play well.
Monday night is a while, West should be better.
Chandler no bad toe. We have never looked so bad on
the road. The road anywhere, Utah, it did not
matter, that was our strength. Not anymore.
What the heck will the Spurs do differently in
Game 7? Make shots? I just dont see what we
do differently unless our guys shoot well and
N.O. craters like they did tonight, just lose
composure.

I dont feel good.
Chris Paul is great but he is a dirty little SOB.
He runs up to people from behind without the
ball and hits them mid back. He did it three separate
times tonight and no one got it, no call. So all of the sudden
they see this in N.O., after what Horry pulled tonight...?
we wont have the refs on our side.

The entire New orleans team has learned the Oberto
hold on screens... not good.

They are cheapshot artists, but they are very good at picking the time and place. Always got innocent puppy dog eyes after they do it, too. Remember 2 years ago against the Mavs? Horry tackling Nash, and Suns getting suspended. League ignores their cheapshots. Don't think anything will happen to that scumbag Horry this time, either. They ignore their stuff. Anyone else intentionally jamming somebody's sore back, and the league would care. These are cockroaches. That's not overstating it.

Yes indeed. The way to tackle is to stick your hip
out. That is standard in football, the hip tackle.
The league intentionally overlooks the Spurs
because the Spurs bring such high TV
ratings. Your claims that the NBA protects
the Spurs make absolutely no
sense.

You see the Spurs making more dirty plays
because you have seen them in more playoffs
games than any other team.

In 1999, when the Spurs won their first NBA title,
people said they could never win because they
were too soft. Duncan, the player who makes
the difference, was not dirty enough.

Now; The opposite because they win.

You cannot tell me with a straight face
that Kobe has not thrown some of the nastiest
elbows of the 21st century. Kobe gave Ginobili
his 50% of his massive nose by breaking it.
Kobe was suspended for it. Because of course Stern
hates LA. The same guy who said the best Final
for the NBA would be LA vs. LA.

And Horry hip checking Nash is a dumb
way to try to injure anyone. That is not the move
you make to hurt someone. It accomplished one thing.
Getting the stupid Sun's Assistant coaches yelled at
for not keeping the players on the bench.

Horry's move tonight was the way to injure someone.
Nash got hurt much
more by Tony Parker's head
than his Canadian soccer flop
than from Horry.

And now Kurt Thomas is dirty also. He never was
on Phoenix, but on San Antonio, he is dirty.
You want dirty teams. Detroit with Rodman and Laimbeer.
That was an extraordinarily dirty team.

You want dirty,
Utah with Stockton and Malone. Malone was one of the worst
of all time. Chicago bull forward, Knick forward
Charles Oakley. Mutumbo. I could go on and on
but you wont remember them as being dirty...

CAUSE they NEVER WON.
And you did not see them every year.

Laimbeer, and Malone were very dirty players. This is 2 games in a row Horry did something cheap. He obviously considers himself the designated cheapshot artist for this club. Oberto (whatever his name is) was doing it all night in game 5,too. I have to agree with coach about game 7. Horry may get some of his own medicine come Monday Night. They should suspend the cheapshot artist for 1 game. If they don't, then he'll have a target on him. The reason San Antonio is a unique cheapshot club is because they seem to always get away with it.

King Glorious 05-16-2008 01:47 PM

Back Shot Bob is at it again.

Cannon Shell 05-16-2008 01:51 PM

Stop being *****'s. The NBA is a man's league. There is no such thing as a dirty play.

Signed,
Maurice Lucas

p.s.- anybody seen Wes Matthews?

DogsUp 05-16-2008 02:03 PM

In my opinion, it wasn't a cheap shot. It was a nice back pick. I have seen it done tons of times. Only reason people say it was a cheap shot was because it was on David West and he got injured or re-injured himself. He has 3 days to recover and get some shots to make him feel better.

I think the Spurs dominate game 7. I think Pop has figured out the New Orleans defense. And Pop is going to allow Paul and West to have their 30 or so and hold everyone else down. Game 7 wont matter much because neither team is going to be the Lakers (who I assume will beat Utah in 7).

Explaination as to how the Spurs get away with it?

How may people have tried to take Lebron's face
off in the playoffs this year? Never wrote anything
on this? Why not?

I already told you that they get away with it due to picking their spots well. I haven't seen any of the Cleveland / Celtics series. Don't care for that conference as much.
