If neither WP nor BB win, even with Pyro on top, definately over.

I'm going with over as well.

philcski 04-03-2008 12:48 PM

That's a real good point. I just hope they don't do that.

Given that is was approx $15k last year (for $1) and roughly $30k the year before, I think it goes over... Even if BB, WP and Pyro run 1-2-3 (like SS, Hard Spun and Curlin), I think it will go over.

Actually, it'll be a $.10 superfecta for the first time in the history of the Derby- I just meant in terms of the price quote. I'm guessing similar to last year... $15k for a buck range. Maybe a little higher because of the likely scramble for 3rd and 4th, even if the few top contenders run 1-2.

ninetoone 04-03-2008 02:43 PM

How much to do a $2 box w/the whole field?

hockey2315 04-03-2008 02:47 PM

20 x 19 x 18 x 17 x 2 = $232,560

ateamstupid 04-03-2008 04:13 PM

Over.

That's classic! I can tell you right now that I'll be playing 13-2-5-4... it was my badge number when I was a cop and I always play that superfecta on big races (if there's enough horses entered).

I haven't hit it yet :(

Didn't someone do that for the tri last year and lose alot of $$$?

Hickory Hill Hoff 04-03-2008 06:39 PM

way, way..........over.

westcoastinvader 04-03-2008 09:38 PM

Old school tri box hunch.

The "Doctor Pepper."

10-2-4

Thunder Gulch 04-04-2008 09:35 AM

I think it's over this year. I think that at least 2 of the top 3 choices will run out of the money, and the difference between the 12-1 horses and the 35-1 horses won't be much.

I'm not so sure about the dime option. When CD announced that they were offering the wager last year, they didn't commit to offering it for the Derby. This company is notoriously fan unfriendly and I wouldn't be at all surprised if the dime super isn't available on the Derby. If that's the case, I'll boycott the bet.

What kind of idiot turns down free money?

Not this idiot!

Although, I think that perhaps everytime you play the 13-2-5-4 superfecta, I should get a cut - doesn't that sound fair?

I'm totally kidding :o

No problem... not like there are 13+ fields running every day. I remember when they used to run the 13 run pools for baseball...[ before the roids..and no one scored that many runs ].. and you would have a team for the whole week... and the pool kept growing till someone got 13 runs... Now they seem to do it every nite !
