i was looking at pp's and i dont get this Adriano thing... he seems like he could be a turf freak.... star on the turf, has not dont a thing on poly, or dirt. why do they keep pushing ? instead of pointing to races like virgina derby ?

Connections are probably hoping his turf talent translates to the turfway poly.

Hickory Hill Hoff 03-19-2008 06:54 AM

If there's such a thing as "A" runners & "B" runners...this group looks like the "C".

2 Dollar Bill 03-19-2008 10:03 AM

Which Longshot is the play THIS week ?

if it's wet, take the cheap speed at a price instead of the best closer.

Kasept 03-19-2008 01:10 PM

Fields out.. Medjool gets the worst of it.

And check it out... Derby Trailer 'PGiaco' with Rushaway entrant Cape of Storms!

PLUS.. Ichabad Crane comes to Florence...

Cajungator26 03-19-2008 02:19 PM

Pulling for Racecar Rhapsody in the Lane's End.

Unfortunately I don't think anybody has a chance to beat El Aleman in this race. Based on his first three starts this G2 certainly seems like a logical place to spot him, and I think his blinding speed will simply be too much for this group to handle.
I predict he wires the field and wins by at least five.

jcs11204 03-19-2008 07:24 PM

this might be funny to some of you.. after looking at the pp's i like Adriano with edgar up

The Bid 03-19-2008 07:24 PM

You just stopped him. Anyone can win except him

Was a little surprised when I got the watchmail alert on Icabad at Turway. Wasn't sure what the scoop was after he scratched at Big A last time.

Not 100% sure why, but have developed a real liking for that one...

probable favorite ?

tiggerv 03-19-2008 07:32 PM

Wow is that Lane's End bad. The winner is going to be 50-1 in the Derby.

West Virginia, Ohio or Indiana Derby ? :D

Hickory Hill Hoff 03-19-2008 09:15 PM

I see that the one we lost in a "shake", Targe is entered in the Rushaway. Likes the Turfway strip too.

I like him there too.

I don't like the post position, but I think the Cali shipper has a shot in the Lane's End.

Then forge ahead to the Albany Hcap at Saratoga, and it's a Carolina BBQ for all if he somehow finds his way home first.

sumitas 03-21-2008 09:04 PM

Cannonball (Catienus) may factor. Catienus has a strong record @ TP. And Duke of Debuque must be considered. The rail is a good spot for this front runner and he could wire this bunch. Leperoux moving over from Macho Again. This is a Pletcher trainee with a 12-1 ML and the odds do figure to come down.

Bigsmc 03-22-2008 08:21 AM

Good luck today pgiaco.

pgiaco 03-22-2008 01:59 PM

Thanks, he'll need it.

IrishofNDMan 03-22-2008 02:07 PM

going with Duke of de Buqe to take em wire to wire.

pmacdaddy 03-22-2008 05:22 PM

ArlJim78 03-22-2008 05:29 PM

congrats on that one. yeah it was fourth but it wasn't a suck up fourth. he had the lead in the stretch so your horse gave it a good try against tough company.

nice.

Kasept 03-22-2008 05:36 PM

Giaco!

Quite a week... 'Luck o' the Round Boy' rubbing off.. Great effort by Storms! Congrats...

ALostTexan 03-22-2008 05:36 PM

I am so glad this is in HD. Awesome to watch...

Cannon Shell 03-22-2008 06:16 PM

CoS ran really well. Congrats PG!

The Lanes End looked like the second coming of English Channel and a bunch of allowance horses and claimers.
