Sketch of Sumwon in Saratoga Special

Our big girl's celebrity status continues as a sketch of her called "On the Rail" showed up in the Saratoga Special today.

I wish I could find a link of Bill Robert's gallery for all to see. It sure is neat seeing Sumwon and the Dee-Tee colors captured by the hand of an artist!

Bob, can you save me one copy, too? I'll be there the week-end of the Travers.

Sightseek 08-13-2007 03:45 PM

I ran into one of the guys at Saratoga Special on Sunday morning and he said he would have the artist contact me or Steve at the BBQ to see about the possibility of getting poster prints for anyone who may want one.

3kings 08-15-2007 06:56 PM

I think they might.

maybe if we all flood them with emails they will either think we are the craziest people on earth or answer them. The sqeaky wheel does get the oil!

mes5107 08-16-2007 08:04 PM

Did anyone try to e-mail him at work?

(He's a professor of arts at Wells College)

Spiggle24 08-18-2007 05:44 PM

Cross your fingers

I got Mr. Roberts direct email & just sent off a correspondence.Let's hope he replies

Spiggle24 08-21-2007 05:45 PM

Good News

Mr. Roberts replied. Here is his reply.

:) Thank you for your interest in my sketches including " On The Rail". I can have giclée prints of the
watercolor sketch produced however I will have to get back to you regarding the particulars as far as cost is concerned. Would you want these matted or framed? I'll include price list without matting and with matting and or matting and framing. Framing would take time and would protract the process; this would also add to the cost of shipping. I am very pleased that your partnership is supportive of this idea. Many thanks . Bill Roberts:)

Please reply & we can put this together for those really interested.

Riot 08-21-2007 05:59 PM

Count me as one. Would prefer matted but unframed.

Danzig 08-21-2007 06:38 PM

add me in. just the print, i have a place here that does all my matting and framing.

SniperSB23 08-21-2007 06:44 PM

I'm in for at least a print depending on prices.

ddthetide 08-21-2007 07:02 PM

we're in for the print, by itself.

pweizer 08-21-2007 07:23 PM

I would definately want one.

Paul

steve 08-21-2007 08:16 PM

i'm in for matted

ShadowRoll 08-22-2007 07:14 AM

The print, maybe matted, depending price.

mes5107 08-22-2007 08:36 AM

I'm in for at least a print, maybe more depending upon the size and the price

TheSpyder 08-22-2007 08:48 AM

Ditto

SuffolkGirl 08-22-2007 10:13 AM

Count me in

I'd love a print and depending on matting and framing will maybe take the whole thing.

AeWingnut 08-22-2007 11:59 AM

I would have to know more about it before I decide
but I am interested

otisotisotis 08-22-2007 01:54 PM

very interested

Spiggle24 09-19-2007 07:23 PM

Mr. Roberts contacted me today about the On the Rail prints. He said that now the Spa is over & school has settled in he had time to give our project some attention. For the sake of cost & time there will only be prints & his price will be based upon the volume requested.Any newcomers to the current past replies listed or does anyone want to retract there replied confirmation to possibly order based upon pricing.I will tally up the count Monday A.M. & then move forward to get a final per print cost.

Did he have any sort of estimate? I'm in as long as it doesn't get too crazy, like over $50.
