a few words for Curlin
What a fine colt, runs his heart out...every time. If the connections give him ample rest, this horse will be hard to beat !!! As for the rest of the summer campaign, I dont see Rags, SS, or Curling battling each other (not even in Travers). If things go well for everyone rest of this years BCC will be one for the ages. I predict Curlin to win.

Well, there is this older horse who may have a say.... |

I'm not making any predictions, but I'd just like to publicly appreciate Curlin. This horse has done so much in such a small amount of time, and still has yet to run a bad race. They don't make 'em like Curlin anymore.

curlin is no bernardini, and bernie couldn't get by invasor.

No, the first time a horse looked Bernardini in the eye, he folded like a tent...Curlin is a lot tougher than Bernardini. |

join those with Curlin. When is the last time a horse has run 6 times, 5 in graded stakes, won a Grade I, II and III, finished 2nd by a nose in a Grade I and 3rd with a troubled trip in a Grade I? This horse needs some time off, but there is still room for improvement, hope he comes back in the summer because he has the potential to be a real beast. Get the feeling that the horse will be much better than now on Breeder's Cup day. Would like to see Albarado taken off this colt.

thought he dropped him too far in derby to give him a chance and then tried to put him through a wall of horses after having him in a position where there was no where to go. Preakness ride was ok, but today's ride was not best. He was lucky to get through that hole at the top of the stretch and barely made it, thought he would get him off the leaders, but in a position where he could make his run. Maybe I'm being a little to picky, Cannon, but just think that a JV, Gomez or Prado would really make this horse dangerous.

I don't and you are right the ride wasn't that bad. Just think that in the long run this horse is better off with a better rider. Maybe I just hate Albarado that much.

I guess that is more of the perspective that I am coming from. If I had a top horse like this, I would put a top rider on him. I just don't trust Albarado. The horse lost fair and square today, just think he has a bright future which can be brighter in the hands of a top jock.

i thought he rode basically a flawless race in the belmont, and in the preakness i actually thought calvin rode a better race than him but of course robbie had the better horse that day. i dont think robbie should be taken off this horse no way in hell! same as i dont think pino deserved to be removed off hard spun even tho hard spun had no business being in the belmont after he was empty like a nickel claimer in the preakness! cant quite figure out WTF HS's connections are thinking, with the blazing work pre derby and running in the belmont, trying that distance after the horse showed only 1 thing last out.........that he needs a rest! alotta people here blamed the oce cream man(pino), the blame solely lies with the connections |
