Why are you suprised about Lovie?

i just figured a 10-6 record would give him another year. surprised, but i don't disagree with the move at all. they have missed going to the playoffs too often with him there.

Bingo.

What sane organization would hire Norv Turner? The guy is a proven loser with too many chances already.

Decent offensive coordinator, not a head coach. I think the same might apply for Wisenhunt and Chan Gailey and probably Jason Garrett and Mularkey too. Same goes for Lovie except on defense.

that takes care of about 2/3 of the problem. now if there was only a way they could get rid of spanos...

Danzig 12-31-2012 03:01 PM

i figure reid will land in a good spot relatively quickly. most of the others do need to return to and remain in a coordinator position. if i was with the saints or rams i'd be calling lovie.

rpncaine 12-31-2012 04:04 PM

I would think the Colts will need an OC next year too.

At this point, I believe that the NY Jets owner has to go...

Can't believe that Rex is still head coach - -great defensive coordinator, but clueless as a head coach....

I am no fan of Rex's but he would be a much "better" head coach if he had a good QB (like most other "good" head coaches)

so true.
shanahan was a good coach when he had elway. then elway left and he became a not so good coach, and was fired.. now he has griffin, so suddenly he's a good coach again.

MaTH716 01-08-2013 08:03 AM

No suprise, Sparano out as offensive coordinator.

3kings 01-08-2013 12:49 PM

Is there any past history of keeping the head coach and firing just about everyone else in the front office and the coaching staff working? I'm not taking a shot at the Jets or Ryan but I can't remember this type of thing working out.

When they fire the coaches staff, they are trying to force a resignation.

I think that is usually true but not in this case. Woody and Ryan seem to have a different relationship than most owner/coachs.

They want to continue in the long line of making one asinine decision after the other.

At this point I just wish Woody Johnson would sell, because he is as much the problem as any. He has no idea what he is doing.
