Tim Layden wrote a great article on him in the 4/28 issue of Sports Illustrated. One of his owners has a $1000 futures bet on him at 200/1

I never have any reason to disagree with you but gotta say...I do hope he stays. It was a stupid thing for him to say especially when he also said this...

Untapable—X. Clearly the horse to beat, but I’ll try to beat her.

I tried to beat her too and am only alive to one small DD with ROC.

Anyway the thing about RHT is the guy always talks racing and has had good humor lately when people have given him a hard time.

RHT just stay and don't be a drama queen about it.

Pointman I haven't looked at the daily thread but do hope you had a spectacular day!

I have no skin in the game, MM. I just wonder why he continues to put himself in that position. Personally, I don't like to associate with people who are not people of their word which makes me curious what he is going to do now.

I could not hit the side of a barn today, hopefully I can make up the deficit and then some tomorrow. Good luck to you tomorrow!

Commanding Curve is out and heading to the Belmont instead.

don't hold your breath. he makes all kinds of promises, self-bannings, bets, etc, and never does what he says he will.

well, i don't know if he's posted on here since his latest 'exile', but he's still reading and sending private messages...
i was gone all weekend, so i got grief for not posting a reply to your message immediately. i'll have to do better.
apparently i stalk him, altho he's the one who always sends me insulting pm's. go figure.

wac 05-06-2014 08:26 PM

From the list of probables there are some wicked fast horses on that list anyone think that could cause an upset? Bayern, social,Pablo I think they may b faster horses at least on paper. If those horses show up I think that could b an issue for chrome. Opinions?

I think it definitely has to be a newcomer, if an upset happens. Chrome still has the best chance.

BELMONT PROBABLES

California Chrome (Sherman)
Ride On Curlin (Gowan)
Social Inclusion (Azpurua)
Commanding Curve (Stewart)
Wicked Strong (J. Jerkens)
Samraat (Violette)
Intense Holiday (Pletcher)
Commissioner (Pletcher)
Tonalist (Clement)
Social Inclusion (Azpurua)
Kid Cruz (Rice)

10 pnt move up 05-17-2014 07:35 PM

Hard to like Social Inclusion in that spot, though he seems like a really nice horse.

Can Ride on Curlin get a better setup than he did today? If you betting him your betting the distance moves him up.

Arletta 05-17-2014 07:49 PM

Commanding Curve will be the one I will be watching.

Alan07 05-17-2014 09:34 PM

Social Inclusion belongs in the Met Mile, not the Belmont Stakes on June 7th.

I hope your right, but he was the only one closing on him in the Derby and he will have more ground to do it in the Belmont. Just a thought and will have 3 weeks to toss things around in my noodle :D

I thought closers typically don't do well in the Belmont?

Good point, but lots to consider in three weeks and see how it shapes up.
