Calder did Ziade a favor by not giving a reason.

You pretty much sign your rights away when you sign your stall application. Trainers know that and owners should as well.

See if Calder had said exactly why he got booted, dopes like the ones that run MD racing might have seen fit to not give him stalls.

phystech 01-31-2010 07:16 PM

It's a disgrace that MD gave Ziadie stalls. Even more of a disgrace is that Racing Sec Hale and Chief Investigator Pogue admit to not having done their jobs prior to granting him stalls.

I've dealt with Pogue before when his main concern was that I made a license clerk at Colonial cry because she wasn't capable of doing her job as a temp hire.

Just two more people that MD employs that aren't worth their weight in salt...

It is difficult to comprehend how the reputation of the man could not possibly have preceded him. It's not like it hasn't been documented. "Dopes" is mild. "Catapulting money whores" is more apt.

What did the temporary license clerk do that resulted in you making her cry?

You know, bringing up the Andy Beyer article in the form today,I recall he was crowing about a trainer last year,at the same time of year, who magically improved a horse to a 115 beyer. And it was the same horse who won yesterday.

In wake of boycott, Gill calls it quits

Owner Michael Gill said he intends to sell off all of his Thoroughbred holdings, saying he is "just worn down" by the recent controversy involving the breakdowns of his horses at Penn National Race Course.

Tony Black......give me a break

Not that I heard the entire interview, but I just read the clip on Equidaily about Tony Black endorsing the unprofessional, infantile behavior of the Penn National jockey's....and it makes me wonder.....how come he didn't support a boycott of the ninth race today at Philadelphia Park in which there was a Michael Gill owned Anthony Adamo trained runner?

In case you were wondering, RIKMAN, the Gill/Adamo runner was an easy winner.

I would hope Byk would ask him as such the next time he is on ATR..I would hope Steve asks him as politely as he can to speak on the subject as frankly as he can..Apparently, Mr Black is Mr Grey if he doesnt have all the jocks behind him in advance..

“I have made hundreds of millions of dollars, and people actually think I’m going to put a jockey on the back of a $5,000 claimer, knowing the horse is sore and risking the guy’s life?” Gill said. “I’m not going to go on under those circumstances.”

richard 02-02-2010 09:08 AM

"Gill has entered four horses for Wednesday night’s program at Penn National, but the jockeys’ boycott remains in place...I’m going to run my horses Wednesday,” Gill said. “Those other guys can do whatever they want.”

This fella does come across as a BS artist. Is he going to leave the sport voluntarily or not ? History says no.

Revidere 02-02-2010 10:26 AM

This reminds me of the movie "Crash". There's not one person with redeeming qualities to root for.

It's certainly as juicy as Lanzman vs. IEAH vs. Mullins though.

According to bloodhorse.com Michael Gill has been ejected from Penn National.

I looked up "selfish egotistical prick" in the dictionary and found this picture.

The entries for tomorrow at Penn National are pretty funny- pretty tough to have a 10 horse field with 2 jockeys.

The Ziadie stalls will be full by post time

This is a glorious victory/coup for president Stephanie Beattie.

Besides having the best juice .. she's remarkably calculating and cunning.

You think I could get the Wonder Pig some shock waves work on his ankles..If so I an allowance check hanging on the wire?

The Indomitable DrugS 02-02-2010 07:58 PM

Your trainer now isn't exactly easy to move up on ... but if you want your best shot at the alw check - give him to Steph Beattie .... I've seen her turn a bottom level maiden claimers with almost all -0 Beyers on her form - into a runaway allowance winner.

I know anyone who's winning at 30.7% with well over 2K starters since '05 is going to have a few pretty extreme move-ups .. but that one was most entertaining.
