All things considered I do agree Hafner's signing was bizarre; a mistake they can't afford. I'd have to side with them on Westbrooks, though. You're certainly on the button with the rest.

The future is bleak.

But I must say I do consider the shedding of farm players Kousmanof,Phillips and Guthrie vile atrocities.

I really couldn't believe it that happened. But, Danks got jobbed as much as Lee and it was nice to see Borowski in there

The Indians taking a one run lead in the 9th or later has to be a joy for other team's fans knowing what is about to take place!!

Don't forget....Lee was at a disadvantage as he had to face major league hitters.

touche

If the Indians had the correct brains in charge...they could fix things so that they would be looking mighty good in 2-3 years and for a real run at things for an extended time.

Like they worked up the 90's teams.

But they don't.

Here Morty...Why don't you apply for the GM position

Go ahead and laugh.

Do you realize what you could get for Lee alone....signed for several years well under the going rate?

horseofcourse 07-02-2008 07:10 PM

Other than making the dreadful mistake of immediately dealing here's Jhonny, Mortimer would be a good Indians GM.

even though Sabathia is pitching brilliantly now, you could have gotten SO much more for him dealing him in March as Morty suggested.

Sadly, I was half serious

Thank you SSSSSO much.

Your have gotten yourself off the menu.

Fine work.

I see where R2D2 just stuck out in the first with the bases loaded.Hitting around .220 with app. 17 strikeouts in his last 30 ab's.

Let's see..he's slow....weak armed....a mild threat to fly balls...but he plays so Gutierrez can learn to be a platoon player.

Ya gotta admire Wedgie.

He certainly shrinks the envelope.

Mortimer 07-02-2008 10:00 PM

When Andy ParTay plays 3rd, that side of the infield looks like a vast left wing conspiracy.

Mortimer 07-02-2008 10:03 PM

Can't we just bring in Boroski now and get it over with?

Mortimer 07-02-2008 10:05 PM

I like the way Garko falls down sometimes when whiffing...he reminds me a lot of Stonegossard's horsey picks.

Mortimer 07-02-2008 11:50 PM

Well that was exciting.
