won for fun! by 5 lengths, with a trainer change

Benny Leger 05-05-2010 08:45 AM

You go "Pills"...The little speedster is closing in on 60k in earnings.

Benny Leger 05-14-2010 11:53 AM

Looks like they are heading back to the bank with "Pills" (on only 12 days rest) at MTR on the 16th. Hope they are not getting greedy. Good luck Little One.

And she's running in a 10K claiming race....

richard 05-16-2010 09:04 PM

they are on the track later because of a spill the prior race. 5.5 seems a bit much for Ramps . We'll see.

She cruised to a 5L win for fun after a scorching 21.92 qtr . Looking relaxed . 104.35.

horseofcourse 05-16-2010 09:07 PM

that girl loves West Virginia. Absolutely dominating. Ran away form the 3-5 favorite.

that's like stealing!:D

richard 05-16-2010 09:17 PM

in this case i wish i was a thief . she got out of the gate well, found her stride fast and took the lead. the fav was on the rail and after the 1st qtr she just got loose on the lead, relaxed and put it on cruise control at the top of the stretch. has she ever looked better ?

ninetoone 05-16-2010 09:18 PM

I didn't even realize she was running until just now. Figures! I'll be glad when this weekend is over!

richard 05-16-2010 09:20 PM

19-6-5-3 $67,351
Her full sister(2007) Home On Heels has not been so lucky going 4-M-0-0 $0 in LA.

ninetoone 05-16-2010 09:22 PM

$15.80 exacta...Wow...generous!

freddymo 05-16-2010 09:27 PM

Hello she is a juice horse..one that is capable of running if she is vetted well in WVA. This is the issue with racing..You think Cannon Shell didn't realize where how and when she needed to be raced? The guy is a pro he knew exactly what she needed but how the heck can you vet her in a public stable and race her as such? Rampillion is a trooper as long as she is afford exactly what she requires,GO PILL GO

horseofcourse 05-16-2010 09:50 PM

freddymo, you're extremely consistent as a poster on the Rampillion topic. We appreciate it!

do have any clue how different vetting regs are in WVA? or are you in RampillionLand? BTW I think she is a heck of an honest SOB and her first foal will be worth a real shot

Benny Leger 05-16-2010 10:09 PM

I wasn't sure she could get it done at 5.5f, but BW never needed the stick.
She looked awesome tonite going 21 4/5 sec. in the opening 1/4 and never looked back. Nice exacta payoff to boot. Way to go Pills !!!

Yes, because of you. But prior, of course not. I've never practiced veterenary medicine in the state of West Virginia at a race track. I can't imagine too many people on here have. I was thanking you for the information. I think it's simply a case of this was a Dee Tee horse and people want to see her do well. It's not too complicated.

AeWingnut 05-17-2010 09:23 PM

are all the WVA horses on drugs?

I don't see why it is necessary to constantly bitch about Rampillion being on drugs. Just bet her and be happy

I don't see Freddy as bitching, he is just repeating himself that WVA has lax medication rules, or no rules basically

ddthetide 05-29-2010 02:03 PM

Just a reminder:Rampillion is scheduled to run on 5/29/2010 in Race 8 at Mountaineer. Don't forget to watch and wager at TVG.com

horseofcourse 05-29-2010 09:22 PM

Hickory Hill Hoff 06-26-2010 02:45 AM

I think her bubble has burst :(

cabvmd 06-28-2010 11:26 AM

Do we have any one at the track where Rampillion is stabled?

We must keep an eye out for her if they retire her, I will make sure Re-Run gets involved and I will adopt her from them. If that does not work out I will buy her myself.:{>:

do you have a place to keep her?

cabvmd 06-28-2010 12:42 PM

yes I have 2 acres with a two stall barn and full feed/tack room with one horse living there now.

Check out my name on the member list, you will see a picture of my Re-Run adopted horse, Silver Over Finish, 21 yo gelding started 80 times 33% in the money total earned $215,000. He lives like a king, and if I get Rampillion he will have a queen by his side. He is a very gentle old man.:)

what a beautiful pic of SOF - sounds like a very nice, manageable set-up, sure hope Pills finds her way there somehow, fingers crossed for all of you !!

I visited with her when she was at Chuck's Bluegrass Rehab farm in Lexinton last spring while she worked out her foot problem. She is just so nice. I went to her stall to pet her and she just puts her head on your arm and loves attention.
