A Lukas victory on Derby day! :D (and CNak gets tossed on the way home!)

Coach Pants 05-05-2012 10:43 AM

Derby
Key Hansen, Gemologist
Under Union Rags, Prospective, El Padrino, Done Talking

Will put a few dollars on prospective and done talking and cover them a little in multis.
Good luck.

Rosario is clearly a move-up jockey. I've been on Great Attack starting with him running his eyeballs out vs Bridgetown at Tampa last year I believe, and always lost $$. Found a way to blow it today leaving out the 3, who is still a pig IMO.

Good-lookin' ride by Castellano on the Chad Brown horse in the Distaff.

Slick strip or not, Groupie Doll stunning in breaking track record. Dragged Maragh to the lead. That was unbelievable. And no easier guys to be happy for than Buff Bradley and his dad.

Bodemeister may be something special. Went the Day Well will be dangerous in the Belmont.

Given the hearings last week, the NYT is going to love the O'Neill story.

Indian Charlie 05-05-2012 06:30 PM

What happened to Take Charge Indy? Was he that horse that backed up dramatically down the backside?

If I didn't know better, I'd guess FukTardHen bet him.

That was Daddy Long Legs. Take Charge Inypdy had some issues in the stretch, and I wouldn't doubt it if he came back injured.

I got my ass kicked playing the undercard and other tracks around the country. But hitting the exacta made things right. Profit margin wasn't much, but I got right. I just wish I hadn't put $100 on Creative Cause. Mid-stretch I thought I had the tri. But Creative Cause was outta gas and couldn't hold 3rd. But $750 exacta hit... Very nice damage control :). 1st Derby ticket I've ever cashed (because I've managed to f up even in years where Smarty and Big Brown looked like locks).
