yeah, even with being given a free fourth timeout, the seahawks couldn't get it done. was hoping the cards would hold on.

The timeout was irrelevant.

yep, luckily it turned out to be so.

Cards are competitive at home while the Seahawks kinda suck on the road. All there in the PP's:D

One game and Wilson is a rookie. Obviously he has more potential in the coaches eyes than Flynn (who they paid too much to be a backup). Only one week. I think Flynn will be holding the clip board come week 2 again....

...he will, and I think they will be 0 fer September. The only thing Carroll has done since being in Seattle and escaping deserved persecution at USC, is beat a beat up Saints team in the playoffs.

Crown@club 09-10-2012 11:21 AM

Besides some happy feet, I thought Wilson did a good job. Zona's defense is actually pretty good excluding the stupid mistakes. Zona's offense just stinks.

Wilson was 5-10 for 35 yds on 3rd down (this includes 2 penalties. 1 complete, 1 incomplete both led to 1st down) including a 10yd TD pass to a receiver who actually catches the ball on 3rd and 9. He also ran 5 times on 3rd down for 13yds. Both passing and rushing, he led the team to 7 1st downs on 3rd down. If it wasn't for Baldwin and Edwards (Mr drops), Seattle wins the game.

Seattle is a completely different team at home then on the road or maybe Dallas is or a combination of both.

Don't get me wrong. I like Matt Flynn, but those receivers in Seattle are terrible. Wilson gives them something Flynn can't thus the reason why I think he is starting. Watching Wisconsin this year proves how good Wilson was since they are horrible without him. They get the Pack this week so I will be cheering for Wilson to get crushed by the packer D in a Jay Cutler like fashion.....

not a fan of jay, and laughed when i saw him yelling at his lineman, who also was laughing at him!!!

Cutler has the potential to be great. The problem with him is he has some serious personality disorders. And yes I believe he has many of them.

What they need is a few linemen that have the intelligence to realize their quarterback is special in a Rain Man type of way.

It really just has to be one strong personality on the line to condition the others. Make them accept that their quarterback is an as.shole...but an as.shole with a rocket for an arm.

Part of their job is protecting the guy. Yes liking him is important...but giving him another chance could pay dividends, and when you win you can have the antichrist as a teammate and love him like a brother.

Also you need a coach that can handle a special needs person like Cutler. Lovie isn't on the level.

Their O-Line is so shitty though that they can't have the stones to stand up to, let alone protect Cutler. You're right though..the dude is missing something. He's too "old" to change..what you see is what he is

Obviously I'm biased. Didn't even know something happened until I got home (ran out after the Boley interception) but I thought it was bush league and very amateur. It's not like they were pinned inside the one. Tampa had no timeouts left, the game was over. I hope someone gives Freeman a needless shot in the upcoming weeks for no reason, because thats all it was to Manning and the Giants O-line. But honestly I'm not suprised. I have always thought that Schiano was a douche during his Rutgers days. This is just another reason for me to root against him and hope he falls flat on his face

Definitely bush league. The alarming thing I see going on game in/game out so far with the replacement refs, coaches and players alike are pushing things into the gray areas as far as late hits, holds, illegal contact, and extra-curricular skirmishes. I would go so far as to say some of the games look like they were about to get away from the control of the refs.

dagolfer33 09-17-2012 08:35 PM

....like this game is about to get out of control.

Not over in a 1 score game until the gun sounds. Two words. Joe Pisarcik.

Does not mean it is not bush league. It won't happen again because the other teams will be ready for it now that they know it will happen. They will probably have someone ready to spear a prone lineman from the Bucs. This is all good for football especially with these current @ss clown refs they are using.
