6-5-1

The Indomitable DrugS 02-27-2009 06:52 PM

It's certainly Albarado on the 6. I'd bet anything on that.

Take Me Out was a Firestone horse and that doesn't look like their colors. Who it actually is, I have no clue.

free25 03-04-2009 10:42 AM

Decent guesses.. but it's not Cherokee Run or Ajina...

KirisClown 03-04-2009 12:34 PM

A few more hints..

It's a male.. At the time the photo was taken the horse was trained by Bill Mott.. he is a son of Silver Buck..

Nice job...

The Indomitable DrugS 03-04-2009 03:15 PM

The huge crowd in the picture kind of gave away it was on Belmont Stakes day. That still didn't help though.

KirisClown 03-04-2009 05:04 PM

Try this one...

Payson Dave 03-04-2009 05:47 PM

KirisClown 03-04-2009 06:19 PM

It is a Phipps horse, but not Pennant Champion... good try though...

Sightseek 03-04-2009 08:53 PM

Heavenly Prize? It looks too stocky to be Personal Ensign.

She's a little older than Heavenly Prize as well...

She came along after Personal Ensign...

The photo shows a daughter of your screen name...

A couple more hints.. the horse in the photo was born in 1989.. she was a Grade I winner..

Sightseek 03-05-2009 10:19 AM

Easy Now?

The Indomitable DrugS 03-05-2009 11:30 AM

I'm pretty sure you're right.

And the 2nd place finisher who's head is barely in the shot is the dam of The Green Monkey.

The Indomitable DrugS 03-05-2009 11:33 AM

Check that, Nannerl is the 2nd dam of The Green Monkey

Magical Masquerade (I find this name amusing since TGM really fooled them at the sale) doesn't show up as having run second to her?

All of my guesses above that were wrong. :D

Oh What A Windfall?

Not a bad guess.. but it's not her.

Oh What A Windfall was the sister of Heavenly Prize...the horse above is the half sister of another extremely good Phipps female...

Educated Risk?

That's her... they retired her just as she reached her peak in early 95, I think she had won 5 or 6 stakes in a row.. if not for Inside Information and Heavenly Prize, she would have had a big year for herself..

The Indomitable DrugS 03-05-2009 06:19 PM

No doubt ... she won her last five career races all in hand, at the Graded Stakes level, and with Beyers of 114, 108, 112, 112, and 105.

Holland Hacker 03-05-2009 07:04 PM

Lets keep in the family, the Phipps family that is.
